During the service the congregation was asked to write down one concern/care/burden they would like to be freed from by turning it over to God this year. At the conclusion of the service during the alter call, some walked up to the front, cast their piece of paper in the trash (as a symbol of turning it over to God) then knelt and prayed; A fresh start in the new year at Heritage Baptist Church.
